I am not sure when the weather will arrive in Acton. Environment Canada is calling for today and tonight, but other sources such as the 680News radio station are saying Friday morning.

Therefore, we have decided to err on the side of caution. Class is cancelled for tonight. Please pass the word around to your friends.

The description of the weather for tonight sounds like it would keep many people at home, even if the storm does not really arrive until later.

The weather for Brampton on Thursday indicates snow and blowing snow, up to 15cm during Thursday day and evening.

The weather for Halton Hills, which is the closest city to Acton that is listed by Environment Canada, is pretty much the same.

Excellent class last night! Lots of enthusiasm, lots of dancing.

I am still finding it a challenge for dance time. We don't all know the same set of dances yet, since many are just getting back into dancing, while others dance at various places. For example, we did Bop The B, and I was surprised at how many had never seen it before. This will work itself out over time.

Really glad the freezing rain did not turn out to be much more than a little bit on the windshield. Nothing on the roads that I could see.

Rennovations on the Acton Town Hall are proceeded, and it is neat to see this happening over the weeks. Less neat are some of the side effects, such as the smell from the newly refinished floor in the main auditorium. We were concerned when we arrived last night, but it didn't seem to effect anyone as much as we had thought it might. The floor in the auditorium looks amazing! At least, as much as we could see in the dark....could not turn on the lights in there, since the switches are inside the auditorium, and the floor was still drying, or curing, or whatever it does.

This past weekend was our annual skiing trip to the Wiarton area - a great weekend with great company at McIvor House - an amazing B&B!

Due to my injury, I wimped out and didn't ski this year. Things might be OK, but I am not great at cross country skiing, and didn't want to take a chance on reinjuring my foot.
